3-year-old Dodo is the little leader of Big Tree.
Dodo was found in a warehouse when she was about one year old, dragging her left hand that had already died. Big Tree volunteer were heartbroken when they saw this, quickly took Dodo for treatment. Despite needing an amputation, it didn't hinder her passion for life. Now she has transformed into a gentle little nanny. Her favourite daily duty is taking care of the other little furry babies.
Fund raised this year from Paws Hero “One Step One Paw" is to support the "Big Tree Animal Sanctuary and Adoption Centre" in saving and changing the lives of many furry friends like Dodo, advocating for animal welfare, and our important educational work - the "Paws Hero Education Hub", to sustainably change behavior and eliminate harm!
Every November, One Step One Paw efforts are made to enhance the lives of animals in shelters, promoting a culture where love prevails over harm, striving to eliminate abuse and abandonment, with the ultimate goal of creating a city that is friendly and compassionate towards animals.

Beneficiaries in 2024
There is a saying, "It's good to have shade under a big tree." Over the past 30 years, BTASAC has relied on a group of volunteers and passionate individuals for support, gradually growing into a thriving tree that provides shelter for homeless stray cats and dogs. Thanks to the kind support of all of you, the animals under the tree no longer have to endure the hardships of sun and rain.
Paws Hero Education Hub provides a safe, clean and comfortable environment for animal organizations to host different events such as adoption day, animal related workshop and training, etc. It spreads the message to respect life and create synergy with other animal groups to build a better community.
